Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
If you do not qualify for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy or if you have a short-term financial setback but are now able to pay your current expenses you should consider Chapter 13 bankruptcy.  You are still able to discharge some or all of your unsecured debt, but you would have to pay whatever you can afford for 3-5 years to the court.  This does not mean you have to repay your unsecured debt.  You only pay what you can afford.  If you can only afford $100 a month, that is all you will be required to pay.
